Why is all-wheel drive important?

All-wheel drive is crucial for both safety and performance. A single-wheel drive e-bike can lose traction and power on loose or slippery surfaces, or even on a slight incline. Our two-wheel drive system can power through mud, snow, sand, and hills with little or no slippage and less chance of a spinout or fall.

Why are your bikes so much cheaper than big brand competitors?

We started TimberTrail e-Bikes because, after shopping for ourselves, we did not feel that the quality and power of products on the market were worth the price. While our bikes are crafted with top-quality components and often exceed the build quality of our competitors, our direct-to-consumer business model enables us to keep our prices as low as possible. In other words, you're getting a better bike at the fraction of the cost because you are not paying for a television or internet influencer to sell our products.

What is Walk/Mule mode?

Walk/Mulde mode can be used to navigate extreme terrain or to pull a fully loaded utility cart to an area where riding can be resumed. This feature is enabled by pressing the down button for approximately 3 seconds. Once selected, the bike can move forward in either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive mode, as selected. 

Can I ride my TimberTrail e-bike on public lands?

Yes. On 8/29/2019, Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt signed order #3376 to allow electric bike access to all road and trails where traditional bicycles are allowed. E-bikes will now be treated like bicycles on lands managed by the Department of the Interior, as long as the rider is using the vehicle in pedal-assist mode.

The Monster is our most powerful model, delivering an impressive 1750W output for unmatched speed and performance. The Beast is our standard model, providing 1500W AWD power that can effortlessly conquer challenging terrain; it is also considered to be street legal in most states, making it a versatile and practical choice for all types of riders. For riders with limited mobility, flexibility, or balance, the Beast ST provides the same specs as the Beast but on a step-through frame.

How long do the batteries take to charge?

Charging the batteries takes only 5-6 hours and can be done using a regular household outlet. While spare batteries are available for purchase, they are usually unnecessary, as our e-bikes have a long-lasting battery life. If you would like to purchase a spare, please reach out to us directly.
